Comet Neowise, also known as Comet C/2020 F3 is viewable in the northern skies. The comet will be closest to Earth on July 23, passing some 64 million miles (103 million km) from our planet.
Although visible with the naked eye it’s best seen using binoculars or other optical aid. The comet was discovered by the NASA space telescope NEOWISE in March. The comet is currently heading away from the sun and once it disappears from view the comet won’t be visible in Earth’s skies for another 6,800 years, according to NASA.
